TRAILER for STEPHEN HAWKING BIOPIC "THEORY of EVERYTHING" DEBUTS

The film, starring Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne is set to hit select theatres on November 7th. The first trailer for the biopic dramatizes the collegiate life of physicist Stephen Hawking.

The movie, penned by Anthony McCarten and inspired by Jane Hawking's memoir "Travelling to Infidelity: My Life With Stephen", details the love story between the Cambridge cosmology student and Jane Wilde, the arts student he fell in love with at University in the 1960's.

Given two years to live following the diagnosis of a fatal illness at age 21, little was expected from Hawking, a bright but shiftless student.

He was galvanized by the love of Wilde and went on to be called the successor to Einstein as well as husband and father to their three children. He is still alive today.

RICHARD GERE BOOKS A STAY AT THE "SECOND BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL"

Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Dev Patel reprise their roles in the sequel to the 2012 comedy hit.

In the film, the eponymous hotel is thriving when two new guests including Guy (played by Richard Gere) disrupt the balance especially since only one room is available.

Meanwhile there is plenty of bickering and potential romance in store for the characters who return from 2012's sleeper hit, "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" who are joined in the sequel by David Strathairn.

The sequel explores Patel's character's dreams of expansion, now that The Best Exotic Hotel for the Elderly and Beautiful only has a single vacant room, which poses a predicament for arriving guests.

Patel is also preparing for a traditional Indian wedding to the love of his life, Meanwhile, Dench's and Nighy's characters have joined the Jaipur workforce and are wondering where their regular dates for Chilla pancakes will lead.

The film marks the first-ever sequel for distributer Fox Searchlight which will release the film in the U.S. on March 6 2015.

MET OPERA STANDOFF THREATENS
$60 MILLLION THEATRE BUSINESS

Live performances being broadcast into theatres could come to an end if a federal mediator can't help solve a worsening labor dispute. These performances could go dark without mediation to resolve a worsening standoff between Met management and twelve of its sixteen unions.

Movie theatre owners throughout the world are fretting over the possibility of a lockout. The Met's live broadcasts into theatres on Saturdays have generated an estimated $300 million since Julie Taymor's production of Mozart's "The Magic Flute" was beamed into cinemas in 2008.

"The Met Live in HD" was the brainchild of Met GM Peter Gelb as a way to make opera more assessable to the public at large. Last season, ten operas were transmitted via satellite into at least 2000 theatres in 66 countries including more than 800 U.S. theatres, with box office receipts hitting $60 million worldwide.

The first "Met live in HD" broadcast of the 2014-15 isn't set to take place until October 11th. As of now, no contingency plans are in place should the season be delayed or cancelled.
