In The Lens
"INTO THE WOODS" STAR
MERYL STREEP UNRECOGNIZABLE
AS THE WITCH IN OFFICIAL PHOTO

In the first official photo of Meryl Streep as the witch in the Disney adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim Broadway musical, the Oscar-winner is barely recognizable. That's because the long, matted grey wig and makeup is designed to make her look--- frankly--- witch-like.

The movie, a modern twist on several Brothers Grimm fairy tales, explores the consequences of the quests of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel. All are tied together by an original story involving a baker, his wife and the witch who cast a spell on them.

In the film, Streep's character is looking to reverse a curse so that her beauty may be restored. Composer Stephen Sondheim is contributing a brand new song to the movie which hits theatres Christmas Day 2014.

SANDRA BULLOCK TO STAR
IN TUPPERWARE MOVIE

Charting the rise and fall of Tupperware exec Brownie Wise, Director Tate Taylor will helm the project. Taylor also wrote the script which is based on "Tupperware Unsealed", the nonfiction book by Bob Keating.

Tupperware was originally developed by Earl Silas Tupper but took off in the 1950's when Wise came up with the idea of Tupperware parties. Soon Wise became as popular as the product she was selling and was the first woman to appear on the cover of Business Week Magazine.

Wise unfortunately began clashing with Tupper who successfully forced her out of the company. She never recovered and fell off the corporate ladder just as the Women's Liberation Movement began to take off.

The movie marks the first official role Sandra Bullock---who marked her 50th birthday on August 2nd---has taken on since her Oscar nomination this year for her performance in "Gravity".

SNEAK PEEK: THE COVER OF
SOPHIA LOREN'S NEW MEMOIR

The Oscar-winning Italian star's memoir "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" will be published in December 2014.

Featuring a classic photograph of the sultry star, publisher Atria Books released the cover for the autobiography whose full title is "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow: My Life as a Fairy Tale". The tome will be available online and in bookstores in time for the holidays.

The 79 year-old Loren won an Academy Award for the 1960 film "Two Women" and a Lifetime Achievement Oscar in 1991.

Each chapter of the book will open with a different memento---a sketch she made of Carlo Ponti, a letter from Cary Grant, portraits given to her of her grandchildren---to illuminate part of her life story.

DREW BARRYMORE
LAUNCHES NEW PERFUME

Drew Barrymore is expanding her Flower Cosmetics line with a collection of fragrances. The happy-go-lucky beauty star will be releasing not one---but three---perfumes, Cherished, Radiant and Sultry. The trio will debut October 2014 in the U.S. at over 3000 Wall-Mart stores.

While there are already heaps of celebrity-endorsed scents available in the market, Barrymore insists that her collection holds special meaning. She describes the collection of Flower fragrances as a story about a woman who is multifaceted. The perfumes embody feelings associated with different times of the day based on the notes used specifically for each scent.

In case you're torn about which scent to purchase, fret not. Barrymore notes that all three scents can be worn together. Lucky us!
