JOSEPH GORDON LEVITT EYES EDWARD SNOWDEN ROLE IN OLIVER STONE FILM

Oliver Stone seems to have found the man to play NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden in his next pic "The Snowden Files." Stone has offered the part to Joseph Gordon-Levitt abs the actor has agreed to do it. Stone is writing and directing the production.

Snowden's story is now familiar to most: the former U.S. intelligence analyst released more classified documents than anyone since David Ellsberg's leaking of the Pentagon Papers during the Vietnam War. He has been on the run ever since.

Stone acquired the rights to the book "Time of the Octopus" by Snowden's lawyer,  Anatoly Kucherena which is considered the closest thing to a documented account of the events since Snowden first released the documents.

If the deal is made, production would likely begin at the end of the year or in the early first quarter of 2015.

TOBY KEBBELL EYES VILLAINOUS ROLE IN BEN-HUR REMAKE

Having recently wrapped "Fantasic Four" in which he plays the evil Doctor Doom, Toby Kebbell may have found another bad boy role.

Accordng to industry sources,  Kebbell is in early talks to play Messala in MGM and Paramount's remake of "Ben-Hur." The pic arrives in  theatres on February 26 2016.

Based on Lew Wallace's 1880 novel "Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ," the epic drama follows a falsely accused nobleman who survives years fo slavery to take vengeance on his best friend who betrayed him. Kebbell will play the best friend who was portrayed by Stephen Boyd in the 1959 classic.

"Ben-Hur" joins the long list of Hollywood's recent interest in biblical stories that have either bowed or are set to bow in the next couple of years. Paramount has already seen success from this genre with "Noah," starring Russell Crowe.

FROM JEANS TO BEANS: RALPH LAUREN OPENS A COFFEE SHOP

The king of American retail has branched out into coffee by opening a branded café within the Ralph Lauren flagship store in New York City.

Not content with his  multi-billion dollar clothing empire, fragrance collections and home furnishing lines, Ralph Lauren now adds  coffee shop proprietor to his CV. And the savvy designer has made sure thirsty shoppers needn't stray for their caffine fix by opening Ralph's Coffee Bar on the second floor of his vast new Polo flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York.

Fitted out in classic American style with white weathered bead-board walls, mosaic tile floors and seating for up to 22 customers, Ralph's Coffee Bar serves private coffee blends made with organically grown beans from Central and South America and Africa, along with a selection of snacks and sweet treats. It also offers mugs, caps and T-shirts emblazoned with the distinctive green and white logo for Lauren-obsessed souvenir hunters.

"The smell of freshly-brewed coffee evokes so many memories for me," says Lauren, "mostly of time spent with friends and family, the people I love." As such, he wants the café to become a "place where people can come together and take a break from their busy days."
